Farmhouse in Tuscany - Organica Farm holidays
Le Ceregne is a 60 hectare estate cultivated according to the principles of organic farming. Here fine varieties of olive trees and fruit trees are grown, in particular cherry trees (after which the estate is named) and some varieties of apple and pear trees that have always been grown in this area but are now dying.
The estate also includes a vineyard , where Sangiovese and Canaiolo grapes are grown, and a chestnut wood. Other crops cultivated on a rotation basis are sunflowers, wheat, barley and fodder. Another line of business at Le Ceregne is pig farming , but also poultry is reared, and in particular hens, geese, ducks, turkeys and guinea-fouls.
Here everything is of our production and the guests can pick up the vegetable of the garden and the fruit of season. ... and for the children is a rite visit the hen-pen where to give food to the hens and to pick up the eggs!
