Le Ceregne organic farmhouse is the perfect place for those who love both hiking and relaxing walks at sunset.

Our farm is located at the heart of marked trails suitable for both beginners and experts.

Starting from the farm, you can follow paths of varied difficulty, suitable for everyone, from those who just want a relaxing walk to those looking to challenge themselves with a more intense hiking experience. The trails in the woods have views of Lake Montedoglio and the Valtiberina valley, with many historical sites to visit along the way, or you can take the Ariminensis“, a Roman road which links Arezzo to Rimini.

In addition to the routes departing from the farm, the hills of the Tiber Valley are full of marked trails suitable for everyone. At the farm, you are able to see the maps of all routes including descriptions, altitudes and difficulty levels.

And for those who want to relax with a romantic stroll at sunset, or even in the moonlight, there’s nothing better than walking along the shore of Lake Montedoglio, or climbing to the top of the hill where you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the entire upper Tiber valley.

ON FOOTSTEPS OF SAINT FRANCIS

For walkers, we offer the opportunity to retrace some stages of the “Way of St. Francis”, in the footsteps of Saint Francis of Assisi, patron saint of Italy.

The Upper Tiber Valley between Toscana and Umbria was a transit of St. Francis on his trips from Assisi to La Verna. Today you can relive the journey of Francis, covering the stages from La Verna to Sansepolcro, which are very impressive and wild; they are passing through woods, forests, ancient villages and hermitages as Cerbaiolo and Montecasale, where St. Francis stopped during his evangelic pilgrimage.
